How To Win

How to Win...

I was thinking back to my boxing career and my journey to becoming a World Boxing Champion, I tried to estimate how much time and effort I put into learning and then mastering the fundamental skills and techniques of the art of boxing.

How many jabs did I throw in training

How many miles did I run to get my conditioning up to the highest standard?

How many sparring sessions did I have to prepare for any opponent?

How many times did I deny myself excess food to make weight?

Frankly, I gave up trying to count.

The point is you don’t get good or world-class at anything until you put the hours in repeatedly practising with the correct form and attitude what you desire to get great at.

It’s that simple. There are few if any shortcuts for hard work repeated over a sustained period of time.

On the other hand, the same principle applies to bad habits.

Most of our past or current bad habits were forged through years of repeatedly doing something which ultimately doesn’t add to our life whether mentally, physically, or financially.

If you're fat because you keep stuffing junk food down your throat and lounging on the couch, then the first step in forming a new winning habit can be as simple to understand as walking 30 minutes everyday and replacing the junk food with healthier options.

Winning is a good habit repeated everyday…normally a simple change or decision. Nothing major.

But over time and distance the results can be life changing.

What could you do today that could simply change your life?
